New File Manager coming soon!

Update The new file manager is now live! Internet Explorer 7 users may need to refresh their cache by hitting CTRL + F5 – this will fix any strange display issues :)

We’ve been working hard over the last while to update the look and feel of the Files area within each workspace. This functionality is due for launch across all our accounts in around ten days time but we wanted to give you a sneak preview, so you know what to expect once it’s released.

As you see in the screenshots below all folders and sub-folders have now been created in a simple ‘tree’ structure, so navigation is quicker and easier between files. We’ve improved the way thumbnails and file details are viewed and given quick links to create new folders and add files on the fly. Simple action menus appear by clicking the icon next to each file so viewing, editing, downloading and moving files can be completed with ease. And there’s more to come in future too with drag and drop functionality and desktop access!

We hope this re-design will help all everyone use Huddle more effectively and we look forward to hearing your feedback.

Glade to start using Huddle. Congratulations! May someone tell me how to go back to the full page of tasks after I have finished detailing a separate task?

The new file structure looks great Andy and co! I’d really love a desktop file manager for this thing too (on a mac!) – so soon as those APIs get out there, someone somewhere, please make the wonderful too we need!
