O is for Online Team Building Games

Online or virtual teams need just as much motivation as office based ones, even more so because they rarely, if ever, see each other in real life. This is where virtual games can be used for more than just having a good time.
Spy Inc makes you a 007
As soon as you receive your briefcase and Mission Access Code, your team logs into the Spy Inc. headquarters website from any computer in the world. This activates the clock. You have 3 hours to complete your mission. Your mission briefing consists of a dossier with your scenario, objectives, advice and clues. You’re given the coordinates for the location in your city where you’ll rendezvous with the other agents in your spy network to obtain more clues to help you complete your mission. Your performance is measured by time, the other performance of the other teams, and the track record of previous agents. As soon as you complete your mission, you log off with your correct solution codes. Your time is calculated and presented on the Cyber League Table. Results are compared and debriefed. Debriefing focuses on problem-solving, planning, team management, and delegation.
Tailor-made Games
The games at Amusitronix are tailored to your specific requirements and your logos and products are placed into the actual games.

Chainsaws Rule
With your virtual chainsaw in hand, race to cut down as many trees and shrubs as possible in our lush 3D environment. Points are awarded for all successful cuts so prizes can be awarded to the winners. There is plenty of room for your logo, text, or picture on the billboards and signs in the arena.
Old fashioned Western Showdown
Participants go head to head in an old fashioned western showdown. Your company name, logo, or phrases can be featured on store fronts, or right on the boxes used to take cover during the showdown.
Crossing the Ravine![]()
A team of five sets out to explore the world but encounters a ravine that seems impassable. Fortunately, each team member has an object that, when connected properly with the others, forms a bridge to the other side. The team must work together to place the pieces properly and cross the ravine.
Tower of Babble![]()
The object with this stacking game is to balance as many differently shaped blocks on top of one another until the stack of blocks (the tower) falls over. Tower of Babble is inspired by a board game called Blockhead!.
Castle Builder ![]()
The objective of here is to design and build a castle out of the pieces provided. Each castle is designed by one group of players (the Designers) and built by another group of players (the Builders). Builders are not allowed to directly view the design and must rely on information communicated by the Designers, and Designers are not allowed to manipulate the castle pieces during this game.

Serisously…? Online team building looks like something you would see in “The Office”.
These games look like they would have been a great idea in the late 80′s.
