Sandwich of the Week - Peanut Butter and Banana Pitta
Thursday, July 03, 2008
This week I am filling in for Jon. So don’t expect any fireworks or anything. This my favourtite Sunday morning all-I-have-left-in-my-cupboard-is-some-pitta-bread sandwich.
Here goes. Take some pitta, white, wholemeal, large, cocktail-size – it does not matter, cut it open, smother with peanut butter (smooth and crunchy, both apply), slice some banana and add to your sandwich. Then all you need is a grill or a hot pan to heat this beauty up. Banana goes well with some kiwi, too.
It may sound a bit disgusting, but believe me: es schmeckt gut, as Jon would say. Plus it’s a magical hangover cure. I have already made plans to turn it into a pill and sell my invention to Pfizer.

Instant death for us nut allergy types! Customise this little beauty with some butter mixed up with maple syrup instead of the PB… no, really – it works – and keeps you alive!
Question – what does peanut butter taste like? Next week – What is love?

I am excited about trying this, perhaps too excited.
Peanut butter? It tastes of peanuts.
