Sandwich of the Week - Swiss Toast Sandwich

Jon is slacking again, so here’s another ‘kanapka tygodnia’ (sandwich of the week) from yours truly.
It’s not really a sandwich as such, but boy, it’s good and… artery-clogging. First, slice and some white onion and cook in butter and salt (yes, butter) until translucent, and golden and taste sweet. Slice some rustic bread (Polish bloomer available from your local 24 hour Indian or Turkish store), cover with cheddar cheese and then fried onion. Use lots of black pepper. Shove in the oven and grill until cheese melts and toast turns a bit crispy.
It’s heaven! I can eat 8 of these in one go. It’s a miracle I still only buy one seat on a plane. Here’s what Barbie would look like if she had 8 Swiss Toast Sandwiches.
