Nothing satisfies the stomach better than a home-cooked triple-decker club sandwich. Whilst these take a little longer to make than a standard two-slice sandwich, adding layer upon layer of your favourite ingredients allows you to create your own plate of personal genius.

To make my favourite turkey club sandwich you’ll need around four slices of cooked turkey, two rashers of smoked bacon, some sliced Jarlsberg cheese, coleslaw, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Oh and bread – 3 slices of toasted white bread to be precise.

Take one slice of toast and add the slices of turkey and cheese – then put a dollop of coleslaw on top. Then put the second layer of toast on and add the bacon, tomato, cucumber and lettuce – then add another dollop of coleslaw. Put the last slice of toast on top and then carefully slice in half. Feel free to change the recipe as you want, but always remember that when it comes to a club sandwich more is definitely more!
